The RenoVation Story so far

The Holy Spirit put the yearning in  George Wilson's heart to plant a different kind of church in our community in 2006. On June 10th, 2010 that dream became a reality in George and Karen Wilson's living room as 8 people gathered to worship God and pray about the planting of a church.

Over the course of that summer others heard about the opportunity to worship God and to do so in the community of Little River, SC. By November 2010 the group had reached over 25 people and there was simply no room in the living room,  so they began to seek out properties in the Little River area. A vacant boat showroom on Highway 17 North, between McDonald's and Holiday Inn, was deemed perfect, and on January 23rd, 2011 RenoVation Church held it's first official service.

This 2,700 square foot building, though barely adequate in size, served as home to Renovation Church for 3 ½ years. As attendance grew, services were added and the Renovation Kids Ministry expanded to take over half of the building

It was apparent that Renovation had outgrown that building and on Easter Sunday of 2014, the church moved into it's present home of 11,000 square feet on Highway 9 East in Longs, SC.

In the fall of 2015 Renovation joined with Vineyard USA,

an association of non-denominational churches, to become

Renovation Vineyard Church (RVC).

In December 2019 Rick Harrell took over the duties of  Lead Pastor. He is thrilled to guide RVC towards the goal of advancing the Kingdom of God in the Little River/Longs area and throughout the world by the power of the Holy Spirit.
