Giving is an important
part of discipleship...and worship! God has been generous to us through the
gift of His Son Jesus; we are generous to others and to our church because we have
been given so much.
You can give confidently and safely three
- You can
give during the weekly offering each Sunday – many write checks, bring
cash, or give at their seats through the Church Center app as a part of the
- You can
give through our Church Center app on our website or on your device. You
can set up an automatic giving amount or give a one-time gift each time.
- You can text-to-give.
Enter 8 4 3 2 1 as the recipient (that’s our church giving code for text-to-give)
and enter in the message the dollar amount – any amount over 5 – follow the
prompts and you’re done!
Vineyard, we believe in the practice and habit of giving:
- We give tithes
as a way to support the ministries of RVC weekly, and a way to say to God we
trust you with our resources. Tithe is a church word that means tenth of the
total. Jesus talked about doing it; we choose to do it, too!
- We give offerings
as a way to help the ministries of RVC, of other ministry and mission projects
(we support missions on five continents and church planting around the nation!),
and special projects that may arise. This is above our tithes. (And opportunities
are listed in the giving options in Church Center, our giving app.)
- We also
give alms (another “church word”) as a way to help the hurting among us
- the poor, the homeless, the orphan, the widowed, the immigrant, the disenfranchised
– this can be given to the church for someone or to generally provide relief
for those in need.
We give because we
are followers of Jesus, because we love His church, and because we love people,
no matter the nationality, color, language, gender, or economic/education
Thank you so much
for worshiping and following Jesus through your generosity!
